The initial competition sought proposals for three library projects in southeastern Colombia. The conceptual designs proposed passive energy and ventilation systems to ensure the building´s sustainability over time and the use of local materials and building traditions.
The project developed for the competition won the first prize for the Yopal Library and the second prize for the Villanueva Library, Casanare.
The Yopal library is currently built and functioning.
